There were a lot of audit questions and fiscal accountability when the current board took office (or shortly thereafter). Thank-you Gil for being a driving force behind putting checks and balances in place that prevent mis-use of funds. there is a comfort level now with fund expenditures that was not there prior to your being elected to office! Still need the audits, but funds are MUCH more tightly monitored now!!!!

Hi Gil.

The PWCPS & individual school web sites need to stress that high school students & a parent/guardian need to attend a high school session, and middle school students and a parent/guardian need to attend a middle school session. I have heard from a couple of middle school parents who sat through a high school session, and were later told it would not count for their middle schooler.

Also, we have been told that if a family has a student in high school and another in middle school that they must attend a session for each level as there may be some different information for the different age levels. (?)

Finally, while the Fall sessions mention that they are for the typical Fall sports (Football, Cross Country, etc.); Cheerleaders and those trying our for their school dance teams are also required to attend .

Just wanted to clarify as there has been some confusion, as can happen the first year of a new program.
Thank you for all you do, Amber & family

Hi Gil,

This is wonderful that you are undertaking this topic and sharing with all those concerned. If you have any info that can be mailed or e-mailed I would be interested in sharing with the coaches at our local high school. In fact the whole county and surrounding areas. Just let me know where I can get the info to forward on to them. God Bless you and Michelle and Cody and Walker. Thinking of Austin! Love you all, Deb
